A trip to Sweden you will never forget!

Every time when summer comes, I would dream about the wonderful Scandinavia. Sweden is my first choice.

Stockholm

Stockholm must be the first stop of our trip in Sweden.

In this beautiful city, we are gonna see a series of ancient architecture and of course, things you can only see in a kingdom!

First of all, in Sweden, prices are high so we ought to carefully plan our expense.

Transportation in the city is convenient. Taxi is expensive; bus and subway is recommended.

Katarinahissen ( Katarina Elevator )

Built in 1881, the elevator has been a must if you come here.

Standing on the top platform, you can have a full view of the city. Best view on sunny days.

 Gamla Stan

Dated back to the Middle Age, Gamla Stan is an ancient and classical city.

Strolling on the streets or having a cup of coffee, you can take your time and breathe with the the old city.

Handmade little decorations can be lovely souvenirs.

Storkyrkan ( the Cathedral of Stockholm )

The medieval church is one of the oldest architecture in the capital, a site of royal weddings.

You may be be very familiar with Gothic style but it’s worth more attention due to its array of exquisite sculptures.

Kungliga Slottet ( Royal Palace )

Inside the palace photo is not allowed. There exhibits various loyal treasure.

Around the main hall you may see the pictures of every king and queen.

At 12:15 everyday or 13:15 at weekends you can watch a changing of guards, a ceremony that attracts much attention.

The best post is on the right side of the entrance, where you can have a clear look at it.

Museums

There are many interesting museums in Stockholm.

One is the Nordiska Museet ( Nordic Museum ). Here you can appreciate the customs and history of North Europe.

Another is Vasamuseet. Vasa is the oldest and the best preserved battleship in the world. A large art heritage, indeed.

The outdoor Skansen museum is the world’s first outdoor museum, built in the late 19th century.

It’s just near the Vasamuseet. You can call it a park.

Here shows many types of houses, granges, churchs, windmills ,most of which are made of wood.
